ADHD & AUTISM THERAPY

NEURODIVERGENT-AFFIRMING CARE, INCLUDING PDA

FOR TEENS (16+) AND ADULTS

FRANKLIN · BERRY HILL · VIRTUAL

Your brain isn't a problem to fix

Many neurodivergent people come to therapy tired. Tired of masking, of being told to just try harder, of living in a world that wasn't built for how you think.

At Ensō, the goal isn't to make you more typical or convince you to fit yourself into a neurotypical box. It's to understand how your mind and nervous system actually work, and to build a life that fits you. You don't need a formal diagnosis to begin.

WHAT THERAPY HERE FEELS LIKE

STRENGTHS FIRST

We start with what works for you, not only with what feels hard.

NERVOUS-SYSTEM AWARE

We notice overwhelm, shutdown, and sensory needs, and slow down when your system needs it.

PRACTICAL AND REAL

Tools you will actually use, shaped around your energy, routines, and the way you get things done.

ADHD in adulthood, including a late diagnosis

Autism and PDA (pathological demand avoidance, sometimes called a persistent drive for autonomy)

Burnout, masking, and shutdown

Time, tasks, and follow-through

What we can help with

Neurodivergence touches every part of life. These are some of the places people often want support.

Big emotions and rejection sensitivity

Anxiety or depression alongside neurodivergence

Relationships and communication differences

Parenting a neurodivergent child when you feel overwhelmed

Our approach

We draw on Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, attachment-informed therapy, and nervous-system-aware approaches, adapted for neurodivergent minds. Therapy is collaborative: we bring knowledge and tools, and you bring what you know about yourself.

If something would make sessions easier, like movement, breaks, or a written recap, tell us. We're glad to talk about what helps.

This may be a good fit if

You were recently diagnosed, or you suspect you might be neurodivergent. You want to make sense of your story through a new lens.

You are exhausted from masking. You want a space where you do not have to perform.

Typical advice has not worked. "Just make a list," "just try harder," (or my personal fave “just use a planner”) has left you feeling worse, not better.

You want understanding, not fixing. You are looking for a therapist who sees your brain as different, not broken.

You are a parent who wants to feel steadier. Your child is neurodivergent, and you want support for yourself, too.

You don't (necessarily) need a diagnosis

Many people find us while still wondering. We can explore what fits for you, at your pace, whether or not a formal evaluation is part of your path.
